Our Ethos

Advanced swimming lessons offer an opportunity for refinement, skill enhancement, and exploration of more advanced techniques and strokes.

Stroke Refinement and Efficiency:

Advanced adult swimming lessons focus on refining stroke technique and improving efficiency in the water. Participants receive detailed instruction and feedback from experienced coaches on proper body positioning, arm mechanics, kick technique, and breathing patterns. By fine-tuning these elements, swimmers can enhance their speed, power, and overall performance in various strokes, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly.

Advanced Skills and Drills:

Advanced adult swimming lessons introduce participants to advanced skills and drills designed to challenge and improve their swimming abilities. These may include advanced turns, dives, starts, flip turns, open water techniques, and interval training. Through structured and progressive drills, swimmers develop strength, endurance, and technical proficiency across different aspects of swimming.

Individualised Training Plans:

Advanced adult swimming lessons offer personalized training plans tailored to the specific goals and needs of each participant. Coaches work closely with swimmers to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them effectively. Whether aiming to compete in triathlons, master open water swimming, or simply improve overall performance, participants receive customized guidance and support to help them reach their objectives.

Mental Preparation and Racing Strategies:

Advanced adult swimming lessons not only focus on physical skills but also on mental preparation and racing strategies. Participants learn techniques to manage pre-race nerves, stay focused during competition, and maintain optimal performance under pressure. Coaches provide guidance on pacing, race tactics, visualization, and goal setting to help swimmers maximize their potential in competitive swimming events.

Injury Prevention and Recovery:

Advanced adult swimming lessons emphasise injury prevention and recovery strategies to help participants stay healthy and perform at their best. Coaches educate swimmers on proper warm-up and cool-down routines, stretching exercises, and strength training techniques to reduce the risk of injuries. Additionally, participants learn how to recognise and address common swimming-related injuries, such as shoulder impingement and swimmer's knee, through targeted exercises and rehabilitation protocols.
