Stage 2 - Turtle

Stage 3 - Seal

Sink, push away from wall and maintain a streamlined position

Swim 5 metres on the front, perform a tuck to rotate onto the back and return on the back

Demonstrate a recognisable breaststroke leg kick with either a woggle or float

Stage 4 - Dolphin

Tread water for two minutes with one hand behind the back

Swim 10 metres, followed immediately by two surface dives into water of full reach depth, one headfirst and one feet first, bringing an object to the surface on each occasion

Scull headfirst on the back for 10 metres and return by sculling 10 metres feet first. A horizontal position must be maintained throughout

Track dive into water, streamline position until surface into 50m on front crawl

Swim 200 metres 100 metres on the front and 100 metres on the back. A change of stroke may only occur every 50 metres
Stage - Silver
Section A

Plunge dive into water of at least full reach depth

Swim 100 metres in less than three minutes using front crawl or backstroke

Tread water for two minutes with one hand behind the back

Swim 10 metres, followed immediately by two surface dives into water of full reach depth, one head first and one feet first, bringing an object to the surface on each occasion

Scull head first on the back for 10 metres and return by sculling 10 metres feet first. A horizontal position must be maintained throughout.
Section B

Swim 400 metres: 200 metres on the front and 200 metres on the back

Swim 100m IM – One length on each stroke showing correct start, turns and finishes

Track start into 100m Max effort (choice of stroke)
Stage - Gold
Section A Complete the set

Warm-up 200m front crawl to backstroke

50m butterfly with fins showing correct turns and finish,

25m butterfly without fins from dive

200m breaststroke showing correct turns and underwater phases

Scull head first on the back for 10 metres, move into a tucked position and turn through 360 degrees keeping the head above water

Swim 10 metres, perform a forward somersault without touching the pool bottom and continue to swim in the same direction for a further 10 metres
Section B

Swim 800 metres using three of the following strokes: front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly
